- Wait List is turned on for commonly requested additional nights.

- To be added to the Wait List for additional nights, first complete a reservation with the nights currently available to you.

- We will make every effort to accommodate wait list requests but this may take some time. If we can fulfill your request, we will update and resend your confirmation email with all confirmed nights. If we are unable to fulfill your request, you will be removed from the Wait List and receive an email suggesting you look for alternative options.

For room blocks made through the Auto-Block link online:

- Please allow up to 3 business days for the Wait List option to be turned on for your block.

- At that time, Wait List will be turned on for commonly requested additional nights.

- After 3 business days, first complete a reservation with the nights currently available to you.

- Then, follow these steps.

- We will make every effort to accommodate Wait List requests but this may take some time. If we can fulfill your request, we will update and resend your confirmation email with all confirmed nights. If we are unable to fulfill your request, you will be removed from the Wait List and receive an email suggesting you look for alternative options.

Just try your link again – even if it’s past your deadline! If the hotel still has availability, it will show as an option to book in your link - including after the expiration date. Please review the terms of your particular hotel prior to confirming your reservation as some hotels do require deposits for certain events. Generally speaking though, no; the credit card used to make the reservation will be charged for the non-refundable booking fee only. Some hotels may authorize the credit card closer to the reservation start date to guarantee the reservation but payment in full is due at the time of check in (unless otherwise stated/agreed to at the time your reservation was made).

A valid license with a matching credit card is required by each hotel at check in. If you will not have the physical credit card at check in, please call (866) 587-4922 so we can assist you in setting up a pre-payment option with the hotel at least 2 weeks prior to arrival to avoid difficulties at check in.

1. From your wave’s main hotel page, select a hotel showing the Earn Comps Nights banner.

2. Earn comps based on your group’s reservations by creating your room block, using either the Room Block Request form or the fully automated, 24/7, Auto-Block feature. This will create a unique booking link for your group and track reservations in your room block.

3. Comps are based on current bookings and are not finalized until actual pick up is recorded.

Need to know:

• Hotel policies vary from 1 comp room-night earned per every 50 used, or 1 per 40, etc.

• Comp nights are not automatically applied, and must be applied through our team, before check-in.

• On or after May 15, 2026, not before, please email Hotels@aausports.org to inquire regarding estimated number of comp room-nights earned. Include who to apply comp nights to.

• If room-nights cancel at any time, the comps earned will reduce accordingly.

• Properties stipulate a specific room type, typically a standard room, where comp nights earned can be applied.

Credit Card Guarantees: In all cases, a preauthorized, valid credit card at check-in, must accompany a reservation with comp nights applied, to cover any room-nights that may fall short due to cancelations within your group. Please understand, there are no exceptions.

Privacy Laws: DF Meetings & Events, the official hotel provider for the AAU, will always protect an end-user’s private information and will only release the necessary information needed to complete reservations with an end-user's hotel. This may limit the information we can provide a group block organizer.
